R&D Center & Laboratory 

Risk Monitoring: COFCO Tunhe Tomato Co., Ltd. R&D Center Testing Laboratory was established in 2003 and passed CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) accreditation in May, 2005. The reports issued are mutually recognized within countries, regions or organizations that have signed bilateral mutual recognition agreements with CNAS. In December 2018, approved by the Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, obtained the qualification of inspection and testing institutions, and can issue legally valid test reports to the public.  The laboratory makes full use of internal and external testing resources and technical advantages, from the detection of heavy mextals in water, soil and fertilizer for tomato planting, to the monitoring of heavy mextals and pesticide residues of tomato seedlings, tomato fruits and tomato paste, to provide " The full procedure, The whole process, All-dimensional, and Traceable " testing technology services for the development of the company's tomato industry, and effectively ensure product quality and safety.
Approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, the company and COFCO Nutrition and Health Research Institute Co., Ltd. jointly build the Key Laboratory for Quality and Safety Control of Sugar and Tomato Products.  The laboratory can carry out systematic research on risk assessment of the processing tomato industry chain, product nutrition and health, and quality and safety standardization.  It also build a database of nutritional knowledge of tomato products, scientifically guide, publicize, popularize and promote the new concept of processing tomato nutrition knowledge, cultivate and improve the Chinese people's cognition and understanding of processing tomato products, promote the change of Chinese people's consumption habits of tomato products, and at the same time help the company's brand development.
Develop and Innovation: COFCO Tunhe Tomato Co., Ltd. is a leading demonstration enterprise of industrialization in Xinjiang. In 2003, the Department of Science and Technology of the Autonomous Region approved the establishment of the Xinjiang Processing Tomato Engineering Technology Research Center.  In 2021-2022, the Autonomous Region Department of Industry and Information Technology approved the establishment of the Autonomous Region Processing Tomato Industrial Chain Innovation Center and the Xinjiang Processing Tomato Industry Innovation Research Institute.  Relying on COFCO Sugar National Enterprise Technology Center and postdoctoral workstation, based on the characteristic processing tomato resource advantages of Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, we have carried out in-depth industry-university-research cooperation with China Agricultural University, Xinjiang University, Xinjiang Agricultural University, Beijing Technology and Business University and COFCO Nutrition and Health Research Institute. Established product R&D bases in Changji Xinjiang, and Hanghou Inner Mongolia, and successively developed differentiated products such as super hot break tomato paste, tomato sauce, diced tomato, pizza sauce, tomato juice and so on.  The company has won 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 Autonomous Region Science and Technology Progress Award, and 2 Autonomous Region Excellent New Product Awards; It has undertaken 10 science and technology projects at the provincial and ministerial level, authorized 34 patents, and participated in the formulation of 6 national and industry standards.
